Campus Ready Information for Fall 2021

Are you ready for Fall 2022?

After more than 2 years of battling the pandemic, the UC Davis community continues to return to pre-pandemic operations. Since Spring Quarter 2022, several mandates have been lifted and we are on track to continue easing regulations.

Some of the ongoing basic Fall guidelines include:

  • Masks are no longer mandated on campus, but are still strongly recommended amidst uncertainty with the start of the new quarter.
    • Masks are still mandated in certain settings like testing kiosks and healthcare centers.
  • Effective June 24, students will no longer be required to complete the Daily Symptom Survey prior to accessing campus facilities, but employees are still required to complete the DSS.
  • Effective June 24, mandatory asymptomatic testing requirements will end. Asymptomatic testing for UC Davis students and employees will continue to be available on a voluntary basis.
  • The ARC testing kiosk will close after June 30 (as will other Healthy Davis Together testing sites), and a new COVID-19 testing kiosk will open across the street on July 5, for employees and students only.
  • All students and employees are expected to remain up-to-date on their vaccination and booster status.
    • Students are expected to receive the new Bivalent Booster when eligible. As of now, the booster is not required due to limited availability, but once there is more information on the status of supply counts, requirements will be updated.
  • All students must test for COVID-19 at least once between September 9th and October 7th.
Please note that by Fall 2022, UCD course offerings are expected to return to full, in-person status with no remote or hybrid offerings. Campus will be notified should guidelines change regarding COVID-19 or wildfire smoke conditions.
