Before you transfer:
Thank you for your interest in our program! As an Animal Biology major at UC Davis, you will get to be a part of a program centered around YOU. During your time you will be able to explore what Animal Biology means to you, and that can be anything - behavior, ecology, veterinary medicine, you name it. Our major is based around undergraduate research, and before graduation all students complete a practicum project under the mentorship of a faculty member of their choosing. You will get to be a part of designing your own curriculum and field of specialization.
As an Animal Biology major, the sky is your limit!
What courses should I take?
We highly recommend completing at least 1 year of calculus, 1 year of chemistry WITH lab, and 1 year of biology with lab. If possible, you can also complete 1 year of organic chemistry (with lab) and statistics. If you are interested in completing physics at community college, please speak to advisor to ensure you take the right courses.
