January 2024 ABI Alum Spotlight: Lauren Ober

My name is Lauren Ober. I graduated UC Davis with a B.S. in Animal Biology in Fall 2021 and an M.S. in Nutritional Biology in Spring 2023! When I found ABI, I felt I could truly explore my passion for Animal Nutrition and share the experience with other undergrads with similar passions.

Under the mentorship of Dr. Andrea Fascetti and the VMTH, I resumed an ongoing research project of hers as my own ABI capstone project, and expanded the scope towards my Master’s Thesis! Today, I am transitioning into the field of Companion Animal Nutrition research and formulation. It has been a dream more than a decade in the making and being a part of ABI was the start of turning that dream into a reality!
